The Process
Selling a business you've spent years building is one of the most significant decisions you'll make. We've designed our process to be simple, transparent, and entirely on your timeline.
Step 01
Send us a message or give us a call. There is no commitment, no pressure, and complete discretion from the very first conversation. We understand that exploring a sale is a significant decision — we treat it that way.
Typical response within 1 business day.
Step 02
We'll have a relaxed, exploratory conversation about your operations, your team, your customers, and your goals. We want to understand what you've built — not just the numbers on a spreadsheet.
No NDAs required to start. We keep everything confidential by default.
Step 03
If there's mutual interest, we'll ask to review a few years of financials. We keep this process simple and won't ask for more than we need. Our goal is to understand the business, not to find reasons to walk away.
We work with your accountant or bookkeeper directly if helpful.
Step 04
Based on what we learn, we'll put together a straightforward offer — no games, no lowball tactics. We explain how we arrived at our number and welcome questions. If it's not the right fit, we'll tell you honestly.
Offers are typically delivered within 2 weeks of receiving financials.
Step 05
Once we agree on terms, we move toward a clean close on a timeline that works for you. We work with your attorney and ours to keep the process smooth. Post-close, we work closely with you to ensure a successful transition for your team and customers.
Most closings take 60–90 days from signed LOI.
Acquisition Criteria
We focus on a specific type of business — here's what we typically look for.
Established with a stable customer base.
Profitable, owner-operated businesses.
A name your community trusts.
Businesses serving the American Southeast.
Common Questions
Not until you're ready. We keep all conversations completely confidential until you decide to move forward. Most sellers prefer to wait until after closing to inform their team.
Yes — your team is one of the most valuable parts of what you've built. We plan to retain your employees and honor their tenure, compensation, and culture.
We're flexible. Some sellers prefer a clean break; others want to stay involved for a period. We'll structure the transition around what works best for you and the business.
That's completely fine. Many of our best conversations happen years before a deal. We're happy to stay in touch and revisit when the timing is right for you.
We primarily look at EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) and apply a multiple based on the size, stability, and growth profile of the business. We're happy to walk you through our thinking.
There's no commitment and no pressure. Just a straightforward conversation about your business and what a sale might look like.
